Unveiling the weight loss myth

March 30, 2011

They say the more you think about weight loss the more you lose your peace of mind. That’s true … blame it on the age-old weight loss myths. You tend to go by these myths only to be directed in the wrong direction. Here’s a few myths that needs to be busted before you embark on your journey of getting a slimmer, pencil-perfect figure. Love to gorge on eggs? Well, it’s an excellent source of protein and not fat, unlike the popular belief. Since it has negligible amount of saturated fat, there is no harm of pampering yourself with those cheesy, yummy bites of egg sandwich with sausage.

Think about those fruity naughty temptations??? Well, the only thing that is bound to strike you is none other than jellies. For years, we are told to enjoy jellies as it doesn’t contribute to those extra kilos. Added to this are the ads given by different companies claiming that their products are sugar free. Next time you are tempted to buy a jar of jellies, check the composition and ditch the temptation.  Remember, more the amount of sugar, more carbs for you to add up those extra flabs.

Well, did you think the lesser number of meals, the better for you to lose weight? That’s another myth that needs to be forgotten. The idea of having good amount of food once or twice a day actually accelerates the process of weight gain. Since the body finds it difficult to absorb large amount of food at a time, undigested carbs get accumulated. On the contrary if you get into the habit of having small chunks at regular interval, you actually eat more yet keep your rising weight under control.

So, eat more healthy and properly and lose weight, successfully.
