Obesity Control Foos the dafest Means
March 17, 2009
That’s true! Food is the safest and the best means to control obesity!
But, what is natural food?
Well, natural food items are those foods that we produce without using artificial manures or hormones.
Where can we find natural food?
Natural food can be had only from your kitchen gardens. But, that is an impossible task for the modern-day nuclear families living in apartments in the metropolises.
So, the other way out to scout for the natural food is to look for the logogram of the food registering authorities of the respective governments.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE NATURAL & ARTIFICIAL FOODS
If you have tasted most of the onions available across the counters, you will know the difference. Neither do they have the flavor of the naturally cultivated ones nor do they bring out tears from your eyes when they are sliced.
The aforementioned pointers show the inefficacies of the artificially cultivated onions. This logic holds true for all fruits and vegetables and even the refrigerated non-vegetarian items we get to buy!
Remember, it’s always advisable to go for the natural food than the ones artificially cultivated.
The former gives the required vitamins and minerals to the body and helps in the proper growth of the body.
The latter simply fills up the tummy with the gas that puffs up the artificially cultivated foods. The person consuming such items will not feel hungry because of this ‘filling-up’ syndrome; but the body will clamor for the necessary nourishing elements which are not present in such items.
BEWARE OF THE OVER-SIZED, UNNATURALLY GREEN VEGETABLES
Nowadays, the market is over-flooded with over-sized fruits and vegetables that are apparently ‘dark green’ and ‘fresh’. These are items artificially bloated with injected or sprayed manures and hormones.
Strangely enough, there are instances where bare fields yield full-grown vegetables like cabbages, cauliflowers etc within the night following their artificial ‘nourishment’.
The only and the most serious problem is that such vegetables are bereft of the nourishing elements. It is similar to the eggs of the broiler or farm chickens which lack the vitamins available in the locally available eggs laid by the domesticated and naturally bred chickens.
In much the same way, the non-vegetarian items that we get in the off-season or those imported from faraway places like the many species of sea fish brought to the land-locked areas are injected with artificial preservatives that render them unhygienic.
JUNK FOOD & VIOLENT ACTIONS: INTER-RELATED
What we consume gets reflected in our actions. There are stories in all cultures as to how a person is judged according to the food habits.
Researches on jail inmates have proved that once their dietary regimen is controlled there was a marked change in their behaviors. If people of violent behavior are given boiled or steamed or simply vegetarian diet over a period of time, their behaviors turn to be less violent. On the other hand, continuous consumption of spicy, deep fried non-vegetarian items does transform their actions into the violent or aggressive type.
In the States, studies carried out on teenagers resorting to impulsive behavior have shown that changes were brought about in their behavior by simply changing their diet. They were given a mixed concoction of diet constituted by fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. Earlier they were accustomed to a drab form of a dietary regimen.
